Nice portrait - the hard rock in the background works well. Good lighting and excellent details in the shadows. I'd like to see the text in the border a little less prominent (smaller and/or grey perhaps).The toning works very well. Phill

i like the texture of the skirt a lot, everything is pretty well composed, the hair almost seems too in the face though, just an opinion though, not relavent to the ablity of the piece to express...shy model or planned?

PeterGrave5: hehe, well i don't know if it was planned, she just took this pose and i thought it's perfect. sorrow and loss are both characterized by making people introvert. so there's definitely a point in her face being hidden...besides i like the fact that this way it's her whole body that expresses grief and sorrow, and the focus isn't as much on the face. thank you for the c&c and the votes!
